The Government has reiterated its commitment to bringing essential public services closer to citizens, following consistent appeals from Wananchi raised during the Jukwaa la Usalama forums held across the country.

Speaking during the commissioning of the Inoi Division Headquarters and the unveiling of National Registration Bureau (NRB) and Civil Registration Services in Kiawara, Kirinyaga Central Sub-County, Kirinyaga County, the Government reaffirmed its resolve to honour citizens’ requests in the shortest time possible.

“The government is committed to honouring the requests in the shortest time possible, prioritising areas where Wananchi have to travel long distances to access the services and places with high population density,” stated Murkomen.

The commissioning ceremony, marked a major milestone in enhancing service delivery and administrative efficiency in Kirinyaga County.

During the event, the installation of the new Inoi Division Assistant County Commissioner, Ms. Beth Gachamio, was also witnessed, strengthening local administrative leadership and coordination of government services at the grassroots.

According to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, the developments form part of the broader national rollout of administrative units following the launch of the Jukwaa la Usalama report by H.E. President William Ruto last month.

Since then, three Sub-Regions in Nairobi, 42 Sub-Counties, 122 Divisions, 414 Locations and 453 Sub-Locations have been operationalised countrywide.

The event was attended by Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Mr. David Githanda, area Member of Parliament Hon. Joseph Gitari, Principal Administrative Secretary Ms. Beverly Opwora, Members of the County Assembly led by Majority Leader Mr. Benson Ngahu, Central Kenya Regional Commissioner Mr. Joshua Nkanatha, Regional Police Commander Mr. Jasper Ombati, Regional Administration Police Commander Mr. Somane Farah, Kirinyaga County Commissioner Mr. Hussein Allasow, County Administration Police Commander Ms. Gladys Kosgei, County Police Commander Mr. Abdullahi Jire, alongside other leaders and government officials.
