President William Ruto has received credentials from three newly assigned ambassadors to Kenya during a ceremony held at State House Nairobi, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding international cooperation.
The envoys are Rulan Mahmoud Samara of Jordan, Jacinto Januario Maguni of Mozambique and Saad Bin Abdullah AlNofaia of Saudi Arabia.
Speaking during the ceremony, President Ruto assured the diplomats of his government’s full support as they begin their diplomatic assignments in the country.
“We are strengthening diplomatic relations with countries across the globe to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest and unlock new opportunities for our common benefit,” said President Ruto.
Ambassador Samara, has previously served as Director of the Economic Affairs and International Cooperation Directorate and held diplomatic postings in London, Rome and Bahrain.
She said her mission in Kenya will focus on elevating relations between Kenya and Jordan by expanding trade and strengthening collaboration in several key sectors.
“I intend to focus on expanding trade flows and strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, information technology, tourism and direct investment,” she said.
Ambassador AlNofaia brings extensive diplomatic experience, having served as a minister and ambassador to Senegal.
He has also been Dean of the Arab diplomatic corps, deputy ambassador to France and non-resident ambassador to Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde.
He noted that his tenure in Kenya will prioritize cooperation in five main areas: political relations, economic partnership, development, defence and investment.
He added that he is committed to ensuring that bilateral cooperation between Kenya and Saudi Arabia continues to grow.
High Commissioner Maguni, a long-serving diplomat from Mozambique, expressed his commitment to deepening relations between the two countries.
He pledged his support to the Kenyan government to unlock the full potential of the Kenya–Mozambique partnership for the mutual benefit of citizens of both nations.
The accreditation ceremony highlights Kenya’s continued efforts to broaden its diplomatic engagement and strengthen partnerships with countries across different regions of the world.
